The PG Department of Mathematics and Statistics, DB Pampa College, Parumala, celebrated World Population Day on 13 July 2026 at Ramanujan Hall. The programme was organized under the theme “Understanding Population Dynamics for a Sustainable Tomorrow.” The objective of the event was to create awareness among students about population-related issues and sustainable development. The highlight of the celebration was an interdepartmental Quiz Competition. The competition consisted of four rounds: Population Pulse, Crosswords, Futoshiki, and Ko-ho. Each round tested the participants’ knowledge, logical reasoning, analytical ability, and general awareness. Students from various departments participated enthusiastically, making the event informative and competitive. The programme encouraged teamwork, critical thinking, and awareness of global population challenges. The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Suresh S, Principal, with Mr. Unni M. S serving as the Convenor. The dedicated efforts of the faculty members of the PG Department of Mathematics and Statistics ensured the successful conduct of the programme.
