Science Club of DB Pampa College Parumala celebrated National Science Day on 17-02-2026 by organizing a science programme aimed at promoting scientific thinking and curiosity among students.The programme began with a welcome address by Dr. Aswathy G, Science Club Convener and Assistant Professor, Department of Physics. The presidential address was delivered by Sri Unni M. S., Principal in Charge and Head of the Department, Mathematics, who highlighted the importance of science in everyday life. The inaugural talk was delivered by Dr. Abesh Raguvaran, Assistant Professor at the Centre for Science in Society (C-SiS), CUSAT. His talk inspired students to think critically and explore scientific concepts. Dr. Satheesh M., Assistant professor in the Department of Physics, offered felicitation. A skit performed by students added an engaging and creative element to the programme. The formal session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Deepa S. Nair, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics. The programme continued with a technical session, featuring a special talk on “Unveiling Science: Think, Question and Discover”
by Dr. Abesh Raguvaran. The session was highly informative and interactive. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by a student representative.
