The Research Departments of Physics at D.B. Pampa College, Parumala, and K.S.M.D.B College, Sasthamcotta, successfully organized a three-part expert lecture series titled “Tracing the Birth of Quantum Thought”. This collaborative program was conducted in resonance with the United Nations’ centenary of quantum science and aligned with India’s national “Quantum Mission”. The event prominently celebrated the pioneering contributions of the renowned Indian physicist, Satyendra Nath Bose.
Inauguration
- The series was officially inaugurated on February 10, 2026, by Prof. (Dr.) S. Sankararaman, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences & Technology at the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram.
- The event was guided by the organizing committee including Prof. (Dr.) Suresh S, Principal of D.B. Pampa College, and Prof. (Dr.) K. S. Anil Kumar, Principal of K.S.M.D.B College, with coordination managed by Dr. Sathyajith S and Dr. Remya G. R.

- February 10, 2026: Dr. Sirajudheen KK, Assistant Professor at WMO Arts & Science College, Muttil, presented an intriguing talk on “The Spooky Side of the Universe: A Quantum Mystery”.
- February 16, 2026: Dr. V. Jayasree, Associate Professor (Rtd) at KSMDB College, Sasthamcotta, delivered a session titled “One hundred Years: When Physics met magic”.
- February 18, 2026: Dr. Muhammed Ashefas CH, Associate Professor of Physics at Government Brennen College, Dharmadam, concluded the expert talks with “Quantum Technology 2.0: Unlocking the Power of the Quantum World”.
